Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister of India . He was the Prime Minister of India for about eighteen months from 9 June 1964 till his death on 11 January 1966. His tenure on this important post was unique. Shastri ji received the degree of Shastri from Kashi Vidyapeeth.
